A message from the County President
Mr Arthur Jarvis

Fellow Bowlers,

I consider it a great honour to be nominated for the position of President of this Association, but I am extremely humbled at the thought of joining the ranks of so many eminent bowlers and dedicated workers for the association, who have previously held the post.

I wish to thank my club, Pembroke Dock Bowls Club, for nominating me as President, and to thank the County Executive and the A.G.M, for endorsing the nomination. I know that my predecessor Don Poole, has left a hard act to follow but I will do my best. I thank Don for his stirling work over the past year.

I thank the County Officers and the Executive Committee for all their help and support during my vice presidency, and I know that I can rely on them in the 2009 season.

I am sure that the county teams, under the management of John Baggot and John Dugmore, will be able to build on past successes and that they will be a credit to Pembrokeshire.

We also have a great deal of talent in our "Under Twenty-fives Squad" and I am expecting great results from them in the coming season.

As a county we have built a superb reputation for our friendliness and hospitality to touring clubs and I am sure we can develop this even further. Perhaps we can also use these talents to help to recruit new members to our respective clubs.

To all bowlers, I wish you good health, happiness and good bowling in the coming season. I look forward to bowling with you.

Yours sincerely

Arthur Jarvis

President 2009
