A Tribute from Mr Lewis Hilling Chairman of Heatherton Indoor Bowling Club Mr Lewis Hilling warmly welcomed the large numbers of members present, as well as the Lamb family, some of whom had travelled long distances to attend this special occasion. "We have met to honour a Gentleman who to me was "Mr Heatherton". His family have come here to honour the club by presenting a gift which will be a tangible reminder of the tremendous amount of work he did in to setting up the club and virtually running it as secretary for 11 years from it's inception". What an organiser. We set up weekly leagues, our club tournaments and competitions and oversaw Heatherton's entry into the WIBA League, setting our club on a sound footing and making sure it stayed there. Tony was also an excellent bowler having played with great credit for Pendine and Tenby outdoor clubs, as well of course Heatherton Indoor Bowling Club The pinnacle of his achievements, and there were many, was his Presidency of Pembrokeshire Bowling Association in 1988. A Gentleman if there ever was one who will be sadly missed.
